Read from/Write to .wavs

Postby Zap-Zarap » Sun Dec 13, 2015 6:59 pm

Hi. Guitarix is very nice, and i'm having lots of fun with it. But i think it would be very comfortable, if it could read .wavs of prerecorded clean guitars and somehow also write the output to .wav , without having to use a player/ardour/whatever and connect everything via jack connect.

Oh, you can, up to 4 track's at once. :)
Select the dubber plugin from the category "Echo/Delay" and put it on front, as the first plug.
The dubber could record, but as well load, and then play (loop) wav/ogg files, see the image below.
Then select the Stereo Recorder from the category "Misc" and put it as last one.
The stereo recorder has a "clip" indicator and a gain controller, reduce the gain in the recorder, til the record didn't clip anymore.
The recorded files goes into your /home directory into /gxrecord
You'll find the loop files in /gxloops
