I'm sorry to say that it still doesn't work.
I've tried various options:
- Different presets
- Adding the transistor buffer in front of it
- choosing different wah-types.

Hereby a screenshot after switching it on.

Could it be that it has something to do with the way I build Guitarix?
Code: Select all
git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/guitarix/git guitarix
cd guitarix
cd trunk
./waf configure --no-faust --optimization  --includeresampler --includeconvolver &&
./waf build &&
sudo ./waf install &&

Thank you for all your efforts.

mm, no the build line seems okay.
In the moment I've no idea what happens, could you try the GCB95 plug, if it gives you the same trouble?
Looks like the wah plugs overload themselves, but dunno why that happens in your setup.

The crybaby is a mathematical abstraction of a wah pedal, were the wah plugs in the wah plugin been circuit representations of the hardware pedals as is the GCB95.

Do you have the same problem when you put the wah before the amp?
Could you include the Oscilloscope (behind the wah) in the screenshot?

I also use a microphone input so there's nothing that should make the Wha suspicious... ;-)

maybe the filters underflow and collapsed. Could you try if the noisegate switched on prevent it?

GCB 95 is working fine.

I've tried all the possible options with these variables:
- Noise gate on/off
- Wah before / after amp
- varying Input level of soundcard
- Muting Guitarix

All options except muting Guitarix give an overflow. When muted everything is ok, but then I just won't get that Wah sound I like ... ;-).
I've made a short screen capture when switching between several wahs and settings. Almost all go berserk at once some don't but when I hit a note they do as well.

Yep, I see they be unstable. Just I've no idea why that happens on your setup and not on mine.
When I change some of the internal values, the filter becomes unstable here as well, but the current config inside the filters is absolute stable here, no matter what I trow into it.
That's why I didn't understand what goes on.

That wouldn't be easy to fix. :roll:

Could you try please if the GxWahwah LV2 plugin have the same problem for you? And if so, is there a different in the behavior when it runs in jalv.gtk or in guitarix?

Wait, wait, it looks like I've found the culprit, I'm currently rework all the wah plugs to cover the issue.
I'll wrote here when it's done.

Thanks for your report Hans. :)

Okay, I've uploaded new calculated versions of all wah plugs.
Please test and report back how it works.
