Metronome

Postby iagobozza » Wed Jul 19, 2017 4:21 pm

Hi all,

Someone can tell me if there is a metronome somewhere in Guitarix. If not, is it possible to add it through some plugin?

Many thanks,

No, I don't think guitarix includes a metronome. I use this program as a metronome under Linux/JACK:

I'm currently using gtklick as well. But it would be nice to have an metronome integrated in Guitarix... I hope some developer consider adding one sometime. It should not be too difficult, I guess.

Thanks for the response anyway!

Hi

Okay, I've pushed a metronome plugin to guitarix git repository, it's under the "Misc" tab now.

That's great!

I just compiled the git version and the metronome works like a charm.

Many thanks Hermann!

Hi, everybody!

I can't understand what place in the chain should mentonome fit. If I put it before amp I can hear it but all effects like overdrive and distortion is applied to ticks and the volume of the ticks very low. If I put in after amp then the volume extremely low. So metronome is unusable.

Please, tell me what I'm doing wrong.

You should try the new DrumSequencer plug instead. 8-)
